Mirta Cerra


Mirta Cerra Herrera (Bejucal, Havana, Cuba, April 23, 1904-1986) was a Cuban artist. His work is exhibited at the National Museum of Fine Arts in Havana and at the Museum of Arts and Science, Daytona Beach, Florida, USA.

During his career he obtained the following awards, in 1937 the Bronze Medal. XIX Hall of Fine Arts. Circle of Fine Arts, Havana. In 1943 Second prize for the Gold Medal. XXV Hall of Fine Arts. Circle of Fine Arts, Havana. In 1946 Prize. III National Exhibition of Painting and Sculpture. Hall of the Lost Steps, National Capitol, Havana. In 1950 Gold Medal. XXXII Hall of Fine Arts.
